![]() ![]() THIS IS NOT A COINCIDENCE.ĭESPITE THE SETTING AND DISABLING OF ICLOUD CACHING OF METADATA TO PROTECT MY PRIVACY, IT IS NOW OBVIOUS THAT INFUSE DOES MAINTAIN OR ACCESS THE CLOUD FOR SOME FORM OF METADATA CACHING OR CHECKING IN TOTAL DISREGARD TO THE USER’S RIGHTS TO, AND PROTECTION OF PRIVACY. ![]() As soon as I did this, Infuse on my AppleTV crashed and notified on screen my Metadata cache is invalid and it was attempting to restore it. (All of my Apple devices use the same AppleID, including for my unused iCloud account). I forgot to turn off iCloud option in settings on both devices. Jump to present time: Two days ago I finally installed or used Infuse on my iPad and iPhone for the very first time. I made a post here on the forum, detailing this and specifically asking about the iCloud caching issue, and was assured this was not possible, and only a coincidence. ![]() The problem resolved with the emptying of my iCloud storage. Until I emptied my iCloud folder, my Metadata kept getting corrupted. My iCloud account was suddenly and completed overloaded with hundreds of photos. The problem occurred when my Phone had its iCloud photo storage accidentally enabled. Several months ago I had recurring problems with total Metadata loss on my AppleTV Infuse l, which took forever to rebuild. Similarly, I also do not use Trakt, as I also do not want it to access my libraries. I actually DO NOT USE Cloud services for ANY of my personal or business data storage at all., Call me old fashioned, paranoid and unwilling to fall for the HUGE insecure, government invade-able corporate-revenue-stream generating scam that Cloud storage really is, despite its convenience. For reasons of PRIVACY, I have always disabled iCloud data storage option on my Infuse Pro installed on my AppleTV. ![]()
